My 05 D3 has been feeling a bit skittish.
Decided to do a very basic tracking test by using string around all 4 wheels.
Drivers side seems ok but passengers side rear wheel seems to be toeing out.
Is this adjustable via the rear panhard rod/toe link. Or do I need new rear arms....
Cheers 05 D3 SE

The suspension is adjustable on all 4 wheels, first thing is to check for play in the bushes, if any then get them replaced. After that you need a 4 wheel alinement check..
Are the tyres wearing off, have you checked tyre pressures

Tyre pressures ok. No unusual tyre wear.
All arms seem ok with no play. Suspension all working OK...
Rear left is definitely toeing out though.
I was thinking that if the toe bar was adjusted a bit to make it longer, it will in effect reduce the amount of toeing out 05 D3 SE

I have just adjusted the rear toe link.
Only required 1 1/2 turns. Car feels so much better to drive now....
Gonna get an alignment check when I've done the rear brakes this weekend. New callipers, discs and pads to go on.... got fed up with sticking rear brakes and red hot discs.. 05 D3 SE

I would thoroughly check the panhard rods. Given age of car, if they have not been changed they may need replacement. Mileage? 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

190k on her... the panhard rods do look quite new though.
The locking nut wasn't very tight
I did check them for play and they seemed fine.
I will add it to my weekly check list 05 D3 SE

Just had mine 4 wheel tracked at kwikfit, £110 and they will check and adjust it again for free up to 8 times over the next 2 years, they use hunter gear which is supposed to be the best for land rovers.
Pete. IID, webasto software and workshop facility's available.
