Location of Connectors for Towbar Electrics |
|
Hello
Just Collected my 3rd D3 and expected to swap the towbar and electrics like I did on the last one - simple job took about an hour. BUT can't find compatible connectors in this one (an 07MY). Not behind the rear lights, not behind LH panel.....???
Can anyone tell me where they are...or have the connectors changed? or do have a bigger job this time?
Many Thanks

Just been and checked again to make sure I'm not going daft...
I have 3 connectors where yours are but nothing that mates with my trailer link. Looks like they changed the connector (unless these are for rear aircon?) OR my 05MY trailer link will not fit an 07MY D3
Will try and find an 07 Trailer link and compare connectors.
Thought this would be a doddle....

I put my electrics kit in 4 months ago....there are 2 connectors located forward of the nsr light cluster. These can be accessed by removing the interior trim piece and are slaved inslightly higher than the top of the access panel. I found connecting the tow bar loom to the car was incredibly fiddly as the space isn't there or wire lenght relly adequate to do the job easily. I did get ther in the end but lost the skin on my knuckles! The fuse block wont connect to the intended point and just floats now. D3 HSE, Stornoway grey, 2007 MY, side steps, privacy glass, door protection strips.

Thanks for the help guys...but just found out what the problem is....I only have half the harness!!
It seems that part no.YMZ500760 (missing) plugs into the body harness (where it should do) and part no. YMZ500532A (mine) then plugs into this...DOH!!
