I have a ipod docking station fitted to the right of the steering wheel. I have purchased an adaptor to fit the iphone 5s ( 30 pin to 8 pin), however there is no sound when playing music but it is charging. aux does work when iphone plugged in via standard jack cable .
anyone have a fix or suggestions. D3 HSE 57 Buckingham Blue

Maybe its a iPhone dock for making calls with and not designed for use as an MP3 player.

Lighting connector on newer iPhones carriers only digital audio, not analogue like the old 30-pin dock connector. You'll need an adapter that can do the conversion.
