The lightweight integrated body and frame design gives the LR3 a nice tight feel,
Not sure on this comment, since when was 2.7 tonne light weight, or have they weighed those bits separately Coffeecup

Compared to the heavy-weight US trucks, ie: Dodge RAM etc...the D3 is a lightweight, and insignificant in terms of size, weight. I used to drive all manner of LR's around Toronto when over there for LR and they kept calling the NAS Defender a jeep. Only when I pulled up alongside such a jeep the Defender towered over it, so you can see they have no idea of respective sizes or weights.
Also, I remember driving from Toronto to Grand Rapids via Saline and at the border followed the road to the truck crossing. Alas, this time they mean trucks , ie: very big things and not SUVs (whihc they call trucks) and the guy in the checkpoint box ( a hole very hgh up from me way below ) chuckled and thouhgt I had delusions of grandieur. They ought to make up their mind what they're going to call these things!!!!
And another time over in the US (Kentucky) I met up with some "good 'ol boys" who instead of looking like Bo and Luke from the Dukes of Hazzard, resembled walking mountains (and I'm not exactly small and tend to be over the 95 percentile, need I say more ).
Arrhhhhhh, so much for the English language, and abuse of "over the pond"
