Brother in laws Mate has bought a D3/D4 BIL not too sure which and he asked me if I know anyone that has mounted a motorbike carrier onto the tow bar of a disco like the camper vans sometimes have, it is for his Moto X bike not a road bike so should be lighter, said I would ask on here but I've not heard of it and if he was thinking about it it would need to be a fixed bar not a swan neck one, thoughts, ideas, I think it would be too heavy and too close to the tailgate.Goodyear Duratracs

I'm sure you've thrown down to he gauntlet for
RLD to come up with something
I think it's possible, maybe even with a removable tow bar, you cold stabilise it with some form of arms to the chassis
Never seen one though

I fitted one to a mate's D3 a few years ago and I think it was the one linked to above. Fitting it proved to be more challenging than anticipated as there was insufficient room for the handlebars vs D3 back screen.
In the end we used a fixed tow bar receiver and mounted it direct to the plate via a spacer, with no ball fitted. This changed the angle enough to keep the bars clear and, with one of his bikes, enough room to open the upper tailgate. We didn't fit the sway bars as they were not needed and he wanted to keep the kit detachable.

You can buy what you need off the shelf - or probably the eBay these days.
First you need a NAS reciever. It fits where the UK towball goes but instead of a ball has a square section hole to take a North American hitch.
Then you can fit whatever bike carrier, or anything else, that you fancy.
There is a photo of a NAS reciever with a pushbike rack in my gallery.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.
Quite common to see in Oz but only ever seen one over here.
Was quite a common site a few years ago, lots of the Speedway riders and Moto Cross riders transported bikes this way an the back of Sierras, seen many pointing skywards.
