Bike carrier

I've just got a new tow bar mounted 3 bike carrier, when it's fitted I get a loud constant tone from the rear sensors when I'm in reverse or neutral.

Are'nt the sensors supposed to turn off when you plug in towing electrics ? I've not noticed this with my trailer, could there be a difference in the wiring configuration?

I had the same problem, although that was with anything attached to the tow bar and electrics and it took my dealer 5 or 6 goes to sort out.

There might be something different about bike racks though as all though all the lights etc work on my rack, boat and box trailers for some reason the dashboard indicator light never work properly with the bike rack.

I think once the sensors are active they will continue to work until you turn them off or they deactivate once you are going over a certain speed.

I had towing electrics fitted by a dealer on my old D3 and when the tow bar was attached and reverse engaged the sensors did not beep. I now have a D4 and the same is the case

I believe it needs a change in the software with IId tool or by dealer

Same here with Caravan or my bike rack plugged in I get no noise from the sensors when in reverse.

Wiring/software problem one thinks!
