Factory visit To Solihull
Took my 16 yr old son along to the Solihull Factory tour last week as he is thinking engineering might be for him.
Tour very informative and quiet intense, a lot to take in, but as always a good guide makes or breaks these events and ours (Rod) was very good.
Certainly a strong and proud belief in the products and their quality portrayed.
Worthwhile trip.
My only little gripe was they said you would be served refreshments, which to my mind includes food, (Biscuits or cakes), but none were to be found, only a selection of hot and cold drinks.D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

we did morning factory visit...afternoon lre....had lunch including soup....there wasn't much choice...other than take it or leave it
considering they took nearly £250 from us...not as good as expected...

I did the trip back a couple of months ago, really enjoyed being chauffeured around in the 110 tried to do a deal on the reverse camera in the rear view mirror with Rod but he wasn't having any of it
Got to see a hell of a lot but the line when down when we were there which wasn't too bad as we saw the emergency response team in action.
very informative about the 90, museum at the end was great

If they only supply drinks, that is what they should advertise.

For sake of comparison, visited Morgan's Factory in Malvern yesterday.
No refreshments or drinks provided free, had to buy from canteen, but the the 2 tickets only cost a third of the Landrover tour.
The Gift shop also had merchandise starting from £2.50 for small model cars, so a lot more affordable and likely kids or adults buying for kids were going to buy a reminded of their visit.
The contrast between the two different operations at all levels was fascinating, bit like taking a walk back in time.

Did a full day Defender heritage line tour and off road experience at Solihull recently and was given coffee and biscuits on arrival, sandwich lunch and tea and cakes before departure.
