3 weeks into owning my MY12 D4 and now on my third issue !
This afternoon pulled out of a junction and put foot down to pull away and there was absolutely no power and the Rev counter went up to 4000 revs.
Seemed as though the car was stuck in a gear as when I used the paddles on the side of the steering wheel to change up gear power came back
I have noticed the car does seem to over Rev when first pulling away in a morning before changing gear but having previously had a manual D3 just thought this was normal
After using the paddles and then reverting back to D mode the problem seemed to clear itself but has left me concerned should it happen again when pulling out at a junction
Has anyone else experienced this and if so how was it resolved

Does the d4 have the same seizing linkage issues on the autobox as the d3?

Was it up to temperature? I recall reading that the gearbox is programmed to hold in lower gears until the oil has warmed up. Does sound a bit extream though. Maybe check the gearbox oil is not low or past its best. MY12 D4 HSE Marmaris Teal

Car was up to normal temperature
As I have only had the car for 3 weeks from the dealer who supposedly did all the normal LR approved car checks I would assume the gearbox oil is ok

I wouldn't assume that. Landrover claim, despite the advice of the gearbox manufacturer, that the box doesn't need any attention until 150k, so it's unlikely they would have checked the gearbox oil before you bought the car MY12 D4 HSE Marmaris Teal
