Would you have been on the A435 Hollywood bypass between Maypole and Beckets Farm in the past week or two - I thought I saw a D3 G4 but was on the other side of the dual carriageway so could get a proper look.
Not me this time, although I'm sometimes in that neck of the woods but haven't been for a few months. There are a couple of G4s kicking about in the Midlands and JLR have one in Coventry which is used for airport runs etc.2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

Looking very nice Chris.
I have a brand new, never been out of the bag winch cover that I was going to use as a template to get others made. Along with a list of other hard to get parts for these cars.
But I'm working stupid hours 6/7 days a week, so it's on hold for the time being !
It may be worth trying Bustle About - they may very well be able to help with that
Came across their work on Facebook (when I'm not banned on there for my special sense of humour) and very impressed with the work they do.
Good find - they look great 2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

Update - October 2021
Big milestone on the M40 yesterday as Tango finally hit 100k miles (photo of course taken by a passenger )
Not too much else to report in terms of recent updates on the G4. It's currently suffering from some blistering paint lacquer on the bonnet, so taking it into an ex JLR Vehicle Ops paint technician this week to have a look. Likely to be a case of stripping the decals and respraying the bonnet.
Otherwise, the only money I've spent on it since my last update is the Service + MOT in March which included replacing 5 out of 6 glow plugs so hopefully that will help the winter cold starts.
Now owned the D3 for 5.5 years which is by far the longest I've ever kept a car. It doesn't have a tough life these days and is admittedly probably cleaned and pampered more than it's driven... I just can't face selling it!

Just run in and still looks fantastic Chris.
And great that you’ve kept it “as is” and not gone for painted arches, D4 updates etc. etc.
It will also be a cracking investment if/when you do come to part with it....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Bonnet Repairs - Jan '22
Finally finished the bonnet project... The lacquer was peeling (per below) as we reckon it's had a dodgy respray in the past.
Bit of a pain as the (fairly new) decals had to be stripped off the bonnet and discarded, along with the bonnet edge website lettering and the LAND ROVER script.
Had it stripped it right back and the Tangiers orange paint colour matched using the fuel flip to account for any fade.
Had it done properly by a contact from work who spent 17 years in Land Rover Special Vehicles' paintshop and originally prepared the vehicles for the G4 Challenge events back in 06, 08 etc. Perfect man for the job!
Sourced all the correct bonnet decals to replace and refit, pleased with the final result. An excellent match.

I see this sold for £15k at auction last week. Still commanding a decent price.

I think £15k is a good price for something that will only increase in value. Just wish I could get one!Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

I do keep an eye out but hadn't spotted this one - thanks for sharing
I bought mine for £19k in 2016 so I think it's fared pretty well in value, although I'm not sure I'm convinced that they'll maintain / increase in value going forward with the demonisation of diesel and further legislative / societal pressures turning against the internal combustion engine... I'd hate to think what the cost of ownership and running will be in 8 years time when new petrols and diesels are banned from sale.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed though that's it's all still manageable, I'd hate to part with it.2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

MOT
Another year's MOT under the belt, only one advisory that front pads/discs might need renewing next year.
