DAB Radio to FM
My partner has a Seat Leon with DAB and when we travel through the Tyne Tunnel the system automatically goes from DAB to FM as there is only an FM transmitter in the Tunnel.
When travelling through in the Discovery yesterday the DAB signal was lost and nothing happened - no auto conversion to FM and nothing from the radio at all - is there an option on the £20k Seat that is not available on the £55k Discovery or am I missing something
Yes I can do this manually but FFS is the LR system that far behind the rest of the market "UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" -is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" ------------is how far you take the fence with you.

My MY10 will do that on the odd occasion it loses DAB - silence....., no flick to FM
Never bothered reading manual to see if it can be set up to switch as it's not really an issue IMO

I seem to recall an option to 'link DAB', I always thought this was the function which switched back to FM in low signal areas or is this something else?

The handbook says the link function is used to switch between local DAB stations that are related but not to the FM equivalent of a DAB broadcast.
Shame really, my old Vauxhall could do it.

Nope, mine doesn't do it either. But I don't think I'll change it for a Seat Leon.

I expect the clock on the Seat links to the radio and keeps perfect time and it probably updates when the clocks change each year.........just like my D4 does....NOT.

Dab
Had a huge problem with my DAB it would loose reception all the time could be parked up and reception would come and go, squeel and squelch, my car was in Chester land rover last week and according to the Mrs the problem is solved (mrs has had my car for last month, ruptured achilles tendon, i.e only drive auto ) so yes all they did was check all the connections aerials..... and perform a softwear update and walah! Nope, I don't think a D4 has an option to link a DAB channel to it's FM equivalent. The answer is a Mark 1 left handed index finger.
I've seen several references to a "software update" for the I.C.E. Has anyone any idea what the software update might do? Does it provide additional functions?
