I must say TFC, the load on the D3 in your picture is not that much if you look carefully, but it is enough with the wheels which must weight as much as a canoe each, having lifted 4 of them.

Better picture here....
Looks like 2 spares under the canoe thingy, agreed though, not that much loading but it would still lift the CofG a bit

But those are full roof racks (with multiple mounting points and high costs) not roof bars. Any pictures in the brochure where here are roof bars only features one kayak, or one pair of skis or one roof box (small).Disco 4 TDV6HSE

Since I am living in The Netherlands, where we experience quite some rainy days, I noticed that raindrops make an awful lot of noise on the part of the roof between the front sunroof and the glasspart above the rearseats.
Somehow it seems this aluminium panel is not isolated at all.
Anyone else with the same experience?

Try the roof with no sun roof, it sounds like a Jamaican steel band playing, but its a Land Rover, so expect some reality
You could always fit a roof rack and deflect the rain
What is this stuff called rain that you guys are talking about??? TDV6 SE (Ausie Spec) COOOL Chawton White.

It's like anything, if the fixing is minimal, then so is strength. You could always add more bars to give more strength maybe.

I think all you all miss the point, and an undocumented LR feature. The noise that you are hearing is the audible rain sensor, however like you note, it seems LR only have installed this on vehicles in certain markets, ie: those which experience rain. Without it you wouldn't realise it's raining

I thought that was an "auto bug sensor" as when the sun (the bright thing in the sky) shines on the bug splattered windscreen the wipers start.. Gotta remember to turn the things off completely.. TDV6 SE (Ausie Spec) COOOL Chawton White.
