Wiper / indicator stalk query
Can anyone confirm if the later 2013-2016 chrome tipped wiper/indicator stalks can be retrofitted to a MY2011 model ? I appreciate they may physically fit, but was wondering if the functionality is the same ?
Has anyone done it ?

I did it to my 2010 model on Friday as my indicator stalk was faulty and they both work just fine.
It was simple to do as well, my only problem was getting the connector out of the indicator stalk which seemed to be stuck fast, but aside from that very simple and if I can do it anyone can.Andy

I know everyone on here needs photographic proof, so a couple of pictures to show I did actually manage to fit the new stalks.
I am starting to worry about myself, as what with fitting the remote park heat thing as well (and not breaking anything) I am in danger of getting good at this! Next job fitting the new battery, but putting that off having lifted up the new one!
Also worrying myself as I am seriously considering changing the rear brakes

Hi Andy
With the right hand stalk the earlier models (MY10) had different functions compared to the newer chrome stalks eg rear/wash wipe.
How do the new ones work? Does the function on the stalk actually do what the picture says?

Andy I have done discs and pads loads of times but never with an EPB so it was a first time for me using bodsys break bible I had it,nipped in no time and I must says the breaks and EPB ARE ALOT BETTER!!
Break disc and pads set bought from advanced factors!!
And the stalks look sweet btwGod created heavy armour on 06 sept 1916, on the 7th the devil stood to attention!

Hello Nick, you are right the operation of the wash/wipe is different on the newer stalks, but they still work as per the labels on the new ones.
There was no need to change any wires, just unplug the old ones and plug in the new, and they work as they are supposed to!

Glad I stumbled on this as one of the things that really bugs me about my D4 after 20 years of driving various model Disco's is the fact that when I pull the right stalk towards me to get the screen wash it does the rear window not the front screen...
Do you have the part numbers and approximate costs by any chance as I'd love to do this to mine when I get the time.

I don't have the part numbers unfortunately (not sure if the numbers in the eBay adds are right), I just stumbled on them when looking at MMJs eBay page, although they don't seem to have any more at the moment, this is the link for one of them, and the reference for the other as I can only get one link to work:

I have fitted these stalks on a D3 and they work perfect It can when others can't,

Fitted the newer style to mine a month or so ago. Looked about for a while and in the end I bought them from Dan at Duckworths brand new for just a few quid more than the secondhand ones would have cost me. Even Dan was surprised at the price, we both expected them to be a lot more expensive.
Maybe worth giving him a call.
Very easy swap to do.

ref the wiper stalk, mines a 2005 , wondering if u may know if this will work please
just didn't know what the min wiring requirement is , in order to retro fit this
i haven't got rain sensors on mine , mine is a base model
the writing has virtually gone on mine saw this and wondering on the off chance if it would fit

It might make it easier perhaps, but I didn't have to when I did mine and I found it easy enough to do.Andy
