I would recommend sill protectors, I have seen a few without where the paint is destroyed, especially at the drivers door.Joined the BMWX5 45e group

A couple from the weekend. Our first towing with the D4. The last tow car is my D2 which is getting old hence the new car (have still got the D2)

I went for the Witter one. The LR one has had issue and the main dealer offer Witter as an alternative, I got mine on eBay from a Towbar dealer for £180 delivered.

I've just ordered the Lockwood sill protectors off eBay. They are far cheaper than the LR ones, plus they seem to protect the most vulnerable part of the sills unlike the originals.
I should have them well before the actual car arrives - I've still got a good month to wait.
