DRL controller
Hi, purchased this DRL controller from eBay for the DRL' s I have put in the fog lights. The DRL's work but for some reason when I connect them to the controller they don't work. I have connected the white wire to the headlights so the DRL's would dim when the lights come on and connected the positive and Negative to the battery terminals but nothing
Has anybody fitted a controller like this, if so what am I doing wrong!!!!

Sorry for delay. I connected the blue and red with inline fuse together at the live source.
The blue is the trigger wire.

Hi, thank you for coming back to me. I put the blue wire with the live fused wire and the DRL's came on straight away but then wouldn't switch off, so had to remove the live feed. I left them on for about a minute to see whether there was some type of time delay.
Did you connect the blue and the live wire to the battery terminal?
The White wire to the blue and purple at the headlight ?
And the remaining wires not connected to anything?06 Disco 3 S, 20" BBS landy wheels, side steps, tinted windows

I used the live feed from fuse box. They stay on for 30 secs after ignition is switched off then switch off as car goes to sleep.
From memory I think it's the white wire to headlamp to make them dim.

I didn't use the other wires. Lights stay on as indicator flashes. Only dims when main headlights are on.
Posted a photo. This is the fuse box under bonnet mind.

Go back to the Ebay advert as I was looking at these last night and it seemed to have a more detailed description of the connections. I think the blue wire was fed from Pos II as a switched feed.Dave

looking at the diagram it appears the blue should be on a switched live feed not on same feed as the red Experience is a difficult teacher, because she gives the test first and then the lesson afterwards!!!!

Is there any recommendations for the switched live feed so I can piggy back the fuse holder?06 Disco 3 S, 20" BBS landy wheels, side steps, tinted windows

I used the (unused) connector for the pollution sensor that sits behind the grille for the switched live feed. I made up a loom to connect my bullbar lights (including DRLs) and fog lights, using a relay to switch the DRLS off when sidelights are switched on.
