Usually it will still need enabling, depends on how they set it up.
Pretty easy to fit in the boot, right hand side panel.
I can enable for you also if needed. I'll drop you some information if you want to go ahead. Bodsys Brake Bible

I bought the kit from Bodsy and decided to spend £400 buying the IIDTool to program it myself. It really is easy.

Not heard back on the cost of enabling if required - so maybe your solution of buying an IID tool maybe the way to go - probably be useful in the future anyway

Sorry, can't help with the cost to enable, but I had already purchased an IID tool anyway as it seemed to make financial sense, but then my D4 is much older and also now out of warranty Andy

When I was looking at this, there was about a £100 difference between supply of the kit only v. supply and fitting. I don't know if this translates in to a £100 cost to just do the reprogramming but gives you an idea. Given I had decided to go ahead with remote heat, it felt to me like the IIDTool was only £300.

The IIDTool looks pretty simple to plug in and play with to set the remote heating up. Just need the kit from Bodsy now so I can play!
