Intermittent climate control when towing
Pulling the caravan home yesterday afternoon and the climate control kept switching itself off and back on again, first time it's done this and it didn't do it once we'd dropped the caravan off in storage. Possible damp in the electrics as we did get a lot of rain over the weekend?Cheers Scott.

Possibly engine coolant overheating (or the sensor thinking it is).Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Agree with Robbie. I had this on my D3 when towing up a long motor way hill in South of France. Air temp was about 40degrees and the car was working hard. First the viscous fan started roaring, then the aircon shut down, then the temp needle shot up to top of the guage! Then I stopped!
Thing to note is that the guage is not proportional, it reads normal until it overheats then it shoots up. Best get a live data read from a suitable tool to confirm if the car is actually overheating or just a false indication.

Cheers for the info guys. I know if I report it to the stealers however they won't be able to replicate it and just fob me off.
Gareth - The car wasn't working very hard when it happened, easy motorway run and the outside temp was only around 7/8degs and no other abnormalities like you report.Cheers Scott.
