Discovery 5 - motor show launch?

So will the Discovery 5 get a motor show launch later this year, and if so which one?

Or will it appear in the media and orders then get taken on the basis we all saw its basic size and shape with the Vision concept 2 years ago in April 2014 at the New York motor show.

I have just been looking at the LRX concept from 2008, that became the Evoque. It is exactly the same as the model that went on to become available to the public, I really struggle to tell the difference. Surely a similar approach must be being taken with the new Discovery as well.

I can't help but think that when the Discovery 5 production model is released it is going to be practically identical to the Vision concept minus the suicide doors.

The London Motorshow? Isn't that only attended my dealers and some of the specialists like TVR and Caterham, along with the no hopers, like SIAC/MG?

With Geneva just starting, what other major European shows are there?

Paris, I think it's a favourite of LR. I'm sure the DS was unveiled there.

Land Rover have pretty much said the Vision concept is the D5.

I have just had a chat with a contractor within JLR, and from conversations he's had he also gets the feeling that its likely to be Paris in October.

(Although he admits that not based on anything concrete!)
