Will a 2009+ D4 Bumper fit a 2005 D3 without issues?

Yes, will do.
Fitted the newer D3 bumper to my 05 D3 a good few years ago.
Was a straight swap for me [even with pdc]....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

No, it was the later model D3 bumper .... which then became the D4 bumper when the D4 was launched.

IIRC the PDC sensors are different and have different connectors?
There are threads about this on here somewhere 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

I assume a bit of splicing old to new loom will result in working sensors?

Don't recall any electrical/connector issues in fitting mine.
I certainly didn't have to change/adapt anything electrically.
But don't know if new bumper came with/without PDC and I just took them from the old D3 bumper - was that long ago?...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

That's because you fitted an 09MY D3 bumper, but a D4 has different sensors to any D3 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Thanks Martin, that was a very important and reassuring answer for me.
Was beginning to think that senility had got a hold.
