Stuck as stuck could be
Oh dear, got a little stuck today trying to get across one of our fields (and by field I mean bog).
For some reason I seem to have put all the rain we have had recently to the back of my mind when deciding it would be a good idea to drop some timber off at the far end of the field using the Disco.
I drove in about 10 meters, stopped, got out and checked it was solid ground, it was all fine, drove another 20 meters and sunk
Called a friend, (as you do) and he came round with his trusty D2, to tow me out....he got stuck
Called another friend, (as you do) and he came round with his tele lifter, he didn't get stuck, he extended the arm, tied that to the tow rope and pulled each car out. Neither would take any money or even a drink and said they would be offended if I tried, it's nice to have friends. So will have to think of another way to repay them.
Just thought a couple of photos to show how stupid I can be would be appropriate.
On the plus side the Disco looks really good dirty.

I wonder if they are trying to decide who's going to do the digging.

It happens to all of us at some time
A friend of mine does the recovery for the army up on the moors at Otterburn, before Christmas the army got a Land Rover stuck in a bog so they sent a 4x4 Daf up to pull it out which promptly got stuck also. So the Army sent one of their 8x8 MAN's up and guess what that got stuck also so my mate had to go up in an ex-army 6x6 Foden and pull them all out Cheers Ian

Ah, the epic 4 car recovery. And it was getting late so was told firmly that if I got stuck I was on my own.
