what car supertest

Hot off the press,new edition of What Car features a major road test of D3-new Merc- Volvo XC90-Jeep Grand Cherokee- Lexus RX400-and BMW X5.
Guess what came out on top as the most complete and rewarding car!!!

Raymond, read this as well! one of their comments said D3 was a bit sluggish,
obviously they haven't spent much time in previous Discos!

It is about time the motoring press and TV got into accurate reporting. The D3 as the RR and 110's, 90's do not compare with any other 4x4. The LR range is unique.

How many other so called 4x4's have a low ratio box with permanent four wheel drive anyway?

I find it not sluggish at all... for its size, purpose and design is plenty quick. Hustles along with vigour once on the move.

Its a bloody 4x4 not a girlie dressed up box like the X5 that gets stuck in the nearest puddle in Sloane Square !

The only time the D3 stops is when its in the lake and the instructor is shouting like a maniac at you. I am sure coffeecup would have carried on through the lake to the other side, no probs.

They have copied a few bits from LR. The ML must be great with big bulbous sides from off road work, I don't think.
