same car - different car
My MY16 D4 SE Tech has been in the dealers to have the temp issue "investigated", and I got a nice shiny MY16 HSE as loan car. OK, leather seemed a bit softer (you HSE drivers obviously have sensitive bottoms), but what was noticable to me was the seating/steering wheel position wasnt as good for me as the SE. The main point was that either the seat wouldnt go as low (and my SE has electric seats as well), or I think it was the electric steering wheel wouldnt go as high, such that I couldnt see the top half of the dials, or the indicators when driving. Amazing how one car with different options can be so different.
So as the question comes up quite often about leg room, driving position, dont assume all models variants are the same

I picked up a courtesy D4 HSE today and I can see why you all rave about the 8 speed gearbox now, it really is very nice and the whole ride and handling is much tighter.
Although, not sure I really noticed the improvement in the seats that is often mentioned and the steering wheel definitely doesn't adjust as much and I can see much less of the instruments.Andy

Sadly I couldn't justify the extra money either, although had I test driven one I may have forced myself to find it!
I must admit to being really surprised by the difference, it was far more noticeable than I ever thought, with gear changes being even smoother. I tried the paddle shifts as well and although better than I thought, I can't get to grips with them as a find them the wrong way around (perhaps because I'm left-handed).Andy

Hi Andy I don't miss the gear stick but I really dislike the paddle position so much as to put me off when I asked the salesman if paddles are standard or an option the blank look on his face was priceless he still has not got back to me about them
I guess I should find out myself
cheers

Hello Chris, I guess I did catch my fingers on the paddles a couple of times, but then I have only driven it about 50 miles or so.Andy
