Unable to open side passenger door

Hi,

Went away for the weekend, on the way back to the car from the beach, we were unable to open the left side rear passenger door, both from the outside or inside.

I am able to pull on both both door handles (inside and out) but these don't seem to engage the mechanism to pull the door open.
This door is used the most, as kids climb over to this side to get on and off the car for safety. Suspect sometimes they pull on the handle prior to unlocking the car.

My Disco 3 is on 160K, I can try to fix it myself, I have a video on Youtube to remove panel but not sure which part(s) may be at fault that would require replacing.

Anyone had similar issues? Easy or hard to fix?

Rgds

I would let the car go to sleep and then unlock with the remote.
You might be surprised. Rolling Eyes
Had a similar issue with my drivers door once and this fixed it. The problem didn't return either and I've no idea what caused it. Rolling Eyes

Thanks Narpy for the prompt reply, it has been 5 days and have tried all combinations of locking/unlocking the car and still no access.

I will try your suggestion again and wait to see what others say.

Cheers

I fixed two doors doing this ... you must to stay door closed but unlocked and give the remote control several times to open ... so many times to get it to stop the system by overheating and wait for the reboot and after you must try to close/open the door by the remote ... and usually again function properly...

do you understand me??

good luck!!
