LR key fob ring
This may sound like a tedious question but does anyone know how to fit a key ring onto the ing LR key fob?
The old key ring worked its way loose and after many attempts to restore its shape its fair to say I have a knackered ring
Now however I cant find a key ring to fit... it would seem the eyelet at the top of the key fob is just plain awkward. I drove past a LR dealership the other day but was a little embarrassed to ask
I now carry my car key separately to my house keysGetting fed up of stalkers

My LR dealer supplied a very small ring to fit the D3 fob so I could then fit it to a standard key ring.

I work as a Locksmith so this super annoying issue wasn't going to get the better of me..
We have some really tiny split rings at work and have sizes up to 60mm.
The problem is, the small split rings are to small to be fitted to the fob and although the bigger sizes can be fitted ok they are to big to move freely on the fob.
My solution was, we have some novelty key rings on the counter and we have some that are like tiny Converse trainers these have a split ring one end attached to about an inch of ckain then just a small loop of metal to attach the shoe, or tiny tape measure ets ets.
I removed the small loop from the shoe by opening it up then popping it through the fob, closing it up and then put a tiny amount of solder to stop it from coming apart in the future.
To this I attached a 15mm split ring and attached my keys to this, my keys can be folded small and fit in my pocket easily.

this might seem like a long winded solution but I work with keys all day so this was a must for me
