Anybody have a developing steering backlash?
I noticed today morning that when stationary (transmission on D position and break pedal pushed) I can move the steering wheel about 1cm left and right without any noticeable movement in the wheels. Turning the steering wheel more gives a sharp and clear feedback from the wheels. If I have transmission on neutral the feeling is not the same. Right after this I noticed it also on motorway speeds.
There was some discussion previously about steering rattles. I have noticed also this. On a bumpy road (sharp bumbs) there is a very noticeable rattle coming from steering shaft.

There has been some reports of this on the site, and I think some members have had the joints replaced, but if this cures it, I don't know. Mine rattles a bit on cobbles, but not excessively.
