KEYS
OK.
My new D3 does have two keys but one is getting pretty worn, both keys work so I've been looking at replacement key cases.
Are these easy to change over.?
Also, I've seen loads on eBay by they're selling for around the £5-6 mark so the low price is putting me off slightly.
Where is the best place to get a replacement case from our are the ebay ones ok.?

Do a search.
There will be a guide or two for changing the case. It's not a straight forward procedure as you need to cut the old apart to get the pcb and key blade out, and glue the new one back together.
Worth changing the battery when you have it open as well.

I bought an ebay case for £4.
Cant tell it apart.
Also found a seller who can cut a new blade from a photo. Works perfectly.

That's good then, I'll order one and see how it goes
Cutting the blade shouldn't be a problem.... I'm actually a Locksmith (a proper one)
Never done this to a customers Land Rover key though.

I only got 1 very battered but working key with my car.
After trying a couple of keys containing the remote electronics and find non would program, i finally found a supplier who's remote PCB looked almost identical to the original but at a fraction of the price, and programs perfectly.

This is what I did, and it worked a treat......
I bought the £6.20 case off eBay and simply transferred the circuit board and the cut key blade off the old key.
It is a sprung affair but it is an easy fix.
You might have to be brutal splitting the old key as they are glued together.
Don't do it within range of the car........... You will push the buttons dozens of times doing the job and if the car receives the signal it will be quite happily locking and unlocking and doing whatever the 3rd button is programmed for, until the battery on the car is flat!!

The key case on Amazon at £6..00 ish is the business...
The task of swap over is relatively easy....
if you are careful...with cutting the old case open & gluing the new one (Araldite Rapid - not superglue)
You can also re-charge your battery from time to time with Braun toothbrush charger !
I bought two cases I case I the first one......BREXIT - done properly.

Do you have to re-register the key once the battery has been removed and replaced?

Batteries arrived to revamp the remotes. Little excessive on the packaging!
