I heard out there... that in this engines is more often that they not come out well is not it?

Hi to all!!

Please, I would like an opinion about this.

The dealer has made today a testing of the glow plugs of my D3 MY06 (I have an ignition delay is not resolved after install a new battery. No other symptoms or exhaust smoke. Only it does in the first start of the morning. To say that the car never sleeps on the street always in a parking...about 15ªC ) ...well, the dealer have reached the following conclusion:

The glow plug number 6 is Faulting . But they don´t believe that this could produce a delay in the start Confused , but if I want to proceed to its replacement, they warn me that to proceed to change this heater ( #6) they must remove the high pressure pump Shocked and if the heater does not come out or broken off, they will have to remove the cylinder head Big Cry Big Cry This would be about 600 € of labor in the best if the glow plug is not broken.... Censored
For all that I have run out of there and would like to know your opinion. The matter is so serious ??

You can live without 1 glow plug, but I would rather remove them straight away as the longer they remain in the cylinder when not working the more difficult they are to remove.

Used it yesterday and today and burst in to life after one heat but liaising with Disco Mikey regarding testing, removal and replacement D3 2005 TDV6 7 Seat Zambezi Silver

what really worries me is the need to disassemble the injection pump!! lost in translation!
