2015 HSE Lux Interior light issue

Hello all Disco3 members from a newbie and first poster.

Knowing that Forums are the best source of knowledge and advice, I wonder if there is anyone who can advise on the following issue that I have with a 2015 Discovery HSE Lux, which I purchased new from UK dealer last year in April.

I have searched the previous threads under Interior lights/map lights and have viewed all posts and suggestions, unfortunately which do not answer the issue that I have.
When the interior lights are switched on to Auto - as confirmed by the dashboard display - the map lights either side do not illuminate when pressed. That goes for the middle row also.
When I start the ignition or lock the car, the centre lights dim to off. I have recirculated both rows to lights off/auto etc and they are set to Auto.

If I press all three black light buttons to on (on both rows) and lock car and re-open, all three lights on both clusters illuminate, so I know that it is not the 10A fuse in the lower glove box, nor indeed the bulbs that are blown. When I start the ignition, all lights go out.
The driver seat, also has a small shudder as if it is about to select another driver preset position.

The car has been returned to the dealer four times for varying issues, some major, but all electrical.
I'd be very grateful if anyone can suggest a known fix. The car handbook only covers the procedure for which I have already done, without any luck on the individual map lights working.

Many thanks DanRutter22 - I've pressed all buttons and combinations to try and get these map lights to work independently.

This is a minor irritant in relation to other issues that I have had with this car - the worst I've ever owned.

Dear Thelo3 - I wonder if you and any other kind samaritan viewing this post can do me a BIG favour - Bow down

As my first post on this thread explains - my map lights do not switch on independently.

By pressing the middle light switch on the light cluster for 3 seconds - I have the indicator on dash on AUTO.
I also have done similar on the middle row cluster.

Neither of the map lights work independently. If I press all buttons in and leave in (that's all six buttons on both front and middle light cluster) then all three lights in each cluster stay on and go off when the ignition is started.

I know that I'll be advised by some to take the car into a dealer but it is SO time-consuming for me to do so that I'm hoping someone might point out where this is all going wrong!!
Once again - Bow down Bow down Thumbs Up

What does auto do? Just turn them off and on when opening and shutting doors?

Just tried mine.

Got in and main light illuminated. Shut door and used both map lights. Started car, main lamp dimmed, could still use both map lights.

Thanks Dubbs - exactly what should happen.
My map lights don't work but the 10A fuse in the lower glove box is good and the bulbs are ok because they work, only if I switch the middle light on, on both front and middle row cluster.

Alas - yet another trip back to the dealer.
Best,
Thumbs Up
