or what if that inset rear window went down into the tailgate like a Freelander and then the tailgate came down, that would be cool 8)MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Do not think after the issues with the removable one on D3/4's you will see that option. Think it will either be an eletrically deployable one or a fixed one and nothing else for the UKMY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Who knows they might go the way of a lot if single tailgate vehicles with the glass that can be opened. Had this on our old Rexton and it was actually quite useful.

I'm 96% sure I read somewhere that LR confirmed there will be no split tailgate on the D5. Instead they will offer an "activity platform" that extends out like the Disco Vision had. I don't see this platform or a space for it given the lack of breaks in the camo. Perhaps it comes from the inside rather than the outside like the Disco Vision...16 D4 Landmark

Have to say that'd be damn awkward for loading and fitting the roof box, I rely on my split tailgate to shut the top section to get it out the way then stand on the bottom section.MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

I have a official 2" receiver on my Disco2, and I've seen the part is available for the D3 also (although I'm currently running a fixed multi-height system that the stealer fitted for free...) which I may buy in due course for my winch setup (which I have setup for front/rear on the Disco2 thanks to Anderson front and rear jump start connectors.Alex Threlfall (Nanocom Evolution Owner)

I think you're right about the disguise. These recent shots are showing a square number plate that is centered and not the elongated version that was offset. And the camouflage looks to be hiding what I think is an extra panel that has been riveted on (highlighted) in an attempt to further disguise what's going:

At least this would come in handy on a new D5

Yes it's riveted on to disguise the off set plate. They are old photos.
This is the latest
