Replace manual cloth seats with electric leather
Hi all,
I have bought a set of electric leather seats, 2x front seats and second row 35/30/35. My current second row cloth seats are 40/60 split.
I thought that these seats was compatible with each other, but it seems like they are not..
I disassembled the second row seats and put the one 30 seat back in. But then I noticed that the front of the seatbase is different from the one I had. My original only had 1 bolt to fit, it looks like these seats uses 3. And I only have one in the floor. And more interesting, the backside of the seatbase, how does that attach to the floor? My original seats was bolted to the floor in the back also..
Here are some photos:
Here are my original 40/60 seat (this is the 60). Here (marked) you can see the seatattachment uses 1 bolt only.

And here you see the seatattachment for the 35 seat. This is much bigger then the original and uses 3 bolts, not 1? But the confusing part is how is it attached to the floor in the back?? Anyone know?
Here you can see the floor and how the orignal seats was bolted.
Anyone could enlighten me on what the difference are between the different seats?
Thanks for all help:)!

Maybe it would be easier if someone with the 35/30/35 leather seats could post a picture on how the outer seats are bolted to the floor?
Would be much appreciated !

Ok, a litle update. Had a fellow D3 owner with the 3 individual seat to post some pictures.
So the difference is that he has some brackets bolted to the floor (outlined in picture under) that the back of the outer seats bolts down to. Is this possible to retrofit? Anyone know the partnumber?
And for the front, it looks like there are 2 (or maybe 3?) bolts that attach the seats to the floor? In my 40/60 seats I only have one bolt in the front. It looks like these brackets are larger (see the pictures in the start of the post).
It would be very nice if someone could confirm if it is possible to go from 40/60 seating to 35/30/35? Immediately it looks like I need more bolt holes in the floor to fit the new front seatbrackets. And I would need the brackets in the back to bolt the back to the floor (as showed above).
But is this all? Is it even possible?
Im in the dark here now...

Have you checked to see whether there are more fixing holes under your carpets . I would not have thought that there would be two different body shells.

hi there
The carpets covering the extra bolt holes I think you will find , need to cut it away to fit the seats .
2nd row seats latch on to a plate its 3ft long 4/5 inches wide plate with( crosses on easiest way to tell Lr dealers to find it) as there are 2 others latches for 3rd row. 2nd row seats latch on to it .
Lr dealers will sell you one £56 plus vat.

Hi and thanks for the replies!
I will today take out one seat and see if I find more boltholes under the carpet.
I have identified a partnumber for the plate to go across the 2nd row. It has partnumber HTQ500011 and looks like this:
But I cant seem to see the pins that the seats latch on to..? Maybe it just dont show on the picture, it might be on the other side? Like these ones:
Maybe its another partnumber I am looking for. I cant seem to find any other from the catalogue.
As from the Microcat, you can clearly see the latching pins (marked under):

Its up side down the the colour pic , its the same part as in microcat
Ps it can only be fitted one way as bolt holes only match up if fitted correctly ,

Hi,
I am suffering with the exact same situation that you did when created the post. Did you manage to upgrade your seats?
