Rim Weight rate
Hi,
Found these wheels / tyres on eBay fitted with 255 55 19 tyres.
Says (and read in this same thread), they will fit my D3 2007 XS Straight on, without modification and with no problems. Really?
I'm worried about rim's rated weight: maybe less than 940kg required by Discovery3. Someone can help me?
Many Thanks,
Matteo

Has anyone got these fitted on a D3 or picture with them fitted? Mine is Zermatt and all colour coded. Can't decide if they would look ok or not. Currently has the standard 19" HSE alloys on it.
They are 20" ones and genuine not replicas.

I don't think they suit a discovery in general, but they probably would look ok on yours.

yep - straight on - check tyre spec, those posibly have 255/55x20's rated at 110 (or maybe 109)
109 or 110 is "technically" too low for a D3 (should be 111) but loads of us have run 110 weight rated tyres with no issues.

soory - see the other thread as these might be of an evoke, in which case wont fit - if they are off the RRS then you are OK.
Its the offest you have listed that makes us doubt them - if you can get the tyre size that might help confirm.
Also - if you do buy 20's for your D3 dont forget to tell your insurer you are running non-standad wheels as 20's were never offered for the D3, not even as an option.

Re: Wheels that will fit a D3

Apart from the standard 17" (but not with RRS 235/65 17 tyres), 18" & 19" D3 wheels that are fitted in the factory, here are pics of the wheel types that will work with a D3:
RRS 19" rims, tyres will be under weight rated and wheel is 1" wider than D3 wheels

This is just what I was looking for, so sorry guys for bringing back the old post.
I found these wheels for a very reasonable price and before buying them I just want to make sure if I can fit some bigger A/T tires for going off-road like Cooper AT3's or something similar. I see a lot of people don't put off-road tires on wheels bigger than 18'. I reckon I will need lifting rods, but also if the wheel is wider would I need a spacer?
Any suggestion what maximum size I can fit?

you dont need spacers to fit those rims, but I have never fitted off road tyres, so someone else will have to answer that for you. Wouldnt 255/55x19 (standard size) off road tyres be OK for you?
