The standard 18" wheels from a LR3 do not fit the LR4. However, there are apparently some aftermarket 18" wheels that do fit, although I'm not sure which ones. I am new to Land Rover, and new to the D3, and have just bought a used Discovery 3, '05 year. I would be very grateful for some advice, as I am no expert on wheels and tyres. The vehicle was sold to me as having been 'upgraded' with 19" Range Rover alloys - pictures of these and the Pirelli Scorpion 255/55 R19 111V tyres fitted to them are below...

I read DSL's post here ..."Wheels that will not fit on a D3"...
in which he mentions that the wheels which I believe are fitted to my vehicle (he mentions FFRR pre 2006 19" 6 spoke wheels next to the picture he posted) don't fit on a D3, which has left me a little confused. Are these my wheels? - and if so, if they aren't supposed to fit, how come they do fit on my D3?
Any enlightenment anyone can offer much appreciated - I am assuming I have misunderstood something basic here!
Just a wild guess, but do you have spacers on the hubs? They may not fit "straight" on, due to the fronts hitting the calipers, but if the car has spacers fitted they will fit.
Have a look between the spokes and you will be able to see if there is a spacer there.

is yours a V8, as these alloys will fit the V8, but not the TDV6 (unless spacers are used), as they foul the TDV6 brake calipers.

Al, thanks for the info. Mine is a TDV6, so I am presuming that spacers must be fitted (I can't check as I am out of the U.K. at the moment.)

Will these X5-wheels fit? I've seen someone on this forum with these alloys, but I don't know if the fit without any spacers?

Hi Jens,
I believe that they do, but you'll need to get some non-LR nuts as, I think, the wheel isn't centred on the hub.
BMW X5 wheels fit, the issue is the 'flange' on D3 wheel nuts is too big a diameter to fit in the recess' in the BMW wheels and do not have the necessary taper. You need M14 x 1.5 nuts with a 60 deg taper.
Here are the ones I have got my off-road tires on.......

bulldocer has a set of the style you are looking at:-
Here is his thread about fitting 16" steel wheels where the BMW wheels are shown (3rd post down):-
There wasn't a Mach 5 available to fit last time I checked and even if you modded some to fit the load rating is too low (that's what the manufactures told me when I asked a few years ago)
There are 18" Zu rims available now though which do fit and are very similar to the Mach 5'sThe End
