LR3 HDC and "xmas tree dash" again! |
|
Hi
New to this forum so hello everyone
Been browsing it for some time now and got some awesome tips - thanks, but just got around to joining as I've got an issue with my 2005 LR3 Auto.
I know this has been 'done to death" on here but I can't seem to find the fault as yet.
Right - Start the car - no problems. Pull away - no probs for first 10 metres or so then traction cuts in and abs on various wheels (like the HDC is on - but it isn't) then HDC fault and suspension lowers and no terrain programmes. Speed works.
Also HDC and traction light etc will come on if idling at standstill then full right lock applied (right at the bumpstop). Everything clears if ignition off then on again.
As per advice on here - changed brake switch and bought a new battery. Brake lights are good - all work not changed them since I've had them and are all clear and not charred.
Error codes are Uo 416-94 and UO 421 -94 they stay on but the rest clear - a bus full appear when the fault comes on but will clear and pass again.
Car hasn't had any work recently, tyres all good pressures etc. New park brake actuator approx 10 months ago.
Its the Traction and yellow brake light icon on the dash that comes on at hard right at lock at standstill thats got me.
Any ideas??

Hi mate.
Been using an Autel MOT Pro - nice bit of kit but not telling me too much. Can't test the wheel sensors. Its a mates test kit.
Going to take the front wheels off and have a look to see if any wire damage. Next step is to take it to Mick Moores where I bought it last year - trouble is everything costs £700 -a grand with Mick. - ouch!

Hi.
It was he steering angle sensor - I had that calibrated and now all is fine.
I have also had issues with the gang connectors at the rear left of the vehicle behind left wheel. In the end I cut them both out and soldered and spliced them in - it got rid of a whole host of issues I had at the time. It's ok until I need the body to come off!
Hope that helps
