Whilst on hols in France, my other half went to unlock the car remotely using her key but nothing happened . I unlocked it using my key and then used hers to start it successfully. The handbook says that if the key battery is flat a message to that effect is displayed in the information area but no such message was displayed. I then tried to lock the car using her key but again, nothing!
A couple of days later, I used her key in the ignition whilst we went on a fairly long (120 mile+) sightseeing excursion. Again, the key wouldn't open the locks remotely but other than that seemed fine. At the end of our travels, her key would now lock/unlock the car OK so the problem seems to be battery orientated.
Wednesday evening, she went out to collect a daughter, intending to use the Disco but guess what, yep, her key would not unlock the car remotely again . This morning, I got her key off her key ring with the intention of going to the stealers with it at lunch time. Out of curiosity, as I approached the car I pressed the unlock button on her key and the drivers door unlocked pressed the button a second time - nothing What the 's going on? Any ideas anyone Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills

same thing with my spare key that used to be the main key
not working at all but still i can start the D3 with it (i opend the D with the manual alternative on the door handel obviously)
I dont think it makes any difference but it did hapen in France since that is where i live l=Oo\________/oO=l l:Ool======loO:l
