Fault has reoccurred . D selected and build up of revs with no movement ( electric handbrake does release) only happens on my drive with is an upward slope and first start up. Solve by selecting manual but this caused an F transmission fault and special programmes off, switch off and on selected manual and got of drive . Selected D and all ok. Did have ecu light on other day with loss of power in low revs but cleared after a rev build up and ecu went out day after .
What could cause this ? Tested battery yesterday and under load it was 14.2v . Going to call garage and get codes read .D3 HSE 57 Buckingham Blue

Is your auto gear lever movement slightly stiff?
If it is (you may not notice that it is getting stiff as it is a gradual thing) I would suggest you remove the gear box tray (can be done with vehicle on the ground) and have a look at the linkage to see how rusty it is and if it is bad as an interim measure lubricate it (until new parts can be fitted).
This should help eliminate the linkage as a possible cause of the problem (see "Autobox Gear Lever pivot - How To" in "Maintenance & Mods (D3)" for further details).
