Special programmes off when cold

I'd forgotten about this little foible from last year until starting the car this morning with the temp. below zero.

When starting in the cold - typically below +4 degrees - I get a bong and 'Special Programmes Off' message. Most of the time, it clears straight away but occasionally I have to re-start it to clear.

The car starts on the button and there are no other apparent issues. Any ideas, folks?

Hmm, I did wonder if that might be the answer. No other signs of a weak battery, though. I'll have to put a tester on it and see what it says.

Yup - low voltage is the cause, stick battery on charge and all will be sorted.

Must do mine - no FBH this morning either due to low voltage Whistle

Thumbs Up

As the battery appears to be the original, I decided to bite the bullet and fit a new one - an Exide Premium from Tayna, which seems to be the forum favourite. Bizarrely though, it's around 10 degrees here at the moment, so I may have to wait a while to see if it's cured the problem Confused

Had the same. Exide sorted it.
