engine changed under warranty

had my disco for 3 weeks, it has got a full main dealer service history but I decided to contact the dealer for any more info. have discovered the engine was replaced under warranty. Asked when and at what mileage but is there any more info I should request. the main dealer has been very helpful already. car has 119356 miles 57 plate auto hse.

57 plate would be the ones affected by the timing cover failure, result if you got a new engine from LR

waiting for a reply from main dealer about milage when engine was changed ( still have a stamp in the book for cam belt at 96k) would be nice to know why it was replaced and what had failed.

result ( i think) main dealer has confirmed car came in in septemeber 2015 for non start failure with knocking from the engine. it seems it was a crank shaft failure and a new engine was installed courtesy of land rover as it had an extended warrantly. one month later i pick it up Very Happy . main dealing chasing to see if there is a parts warranty and will kindly stamp up the service book to show engine change. always good to try and investigate the history of the car. only concern i have is the oil pump casing, will have to have a look to see if it was changed. any pointers on this would be greatly appreciated.
