Hunting TDv6

Just had major cam belt service on my D3 TDV6, the vehicle is now hunting up and down by about 150 RPM on tickover (like old diesel engines with governors).

I have experienced this before with an alternator failing (not on a D3), however all voltages are good and no voltage fluctuation with engine revs which normally happens with alternator failure.

I have one injector which is running around 1300 when cold and dropping back to about 1200 when hot. No faults registered..

Any thoughts or ideas please..

How many miles have you done since the belts were done?

With the battery disconnected, it clears the long term adaptive values from the PCM. The "hunting" will be present for a while until the PCM has a chance to re-adapt Thumbs Up

Mikey, you were spot on Bow down

I actually had to disconnect the battery to re route the winch wiring which the stealers just ran over the top of the battery, oh yes and they missed the bolt holding the aircon pipes just below the battery so left "floating".

So winch wiring re-rounted, bolt inserted on aircon adaptive trim "found itself" injector 5 now running around 1140 so I think we are good...
