Installing heated seat elements to both front and rear seats |
|
Hi all:)!
I have just bought myself electric leather seats for my SE model that had cloth seats. There are some difference tho. My cloth seats had heating both front and rear. The new electric leather ones had no heating.
So as I have been used to this with my old seats, I would like to retrofit the heated elements to both the front and rear seats.
But I would love some guiding / help on my way if anyone have some information:).
What partnumbers for the front and rear heated elements?
Do I need to order some clips to fit the wires to the seats? What about connectors? Are all included with the elements?
Are the heated elements also on the backrest on the rear seats? I would say no, because if I look on my new leather seats, it looks like there are no possibilities to get inside the leather on the backrest.
What tools would I need to get to help me on this job? I see many recommend hog ring pliers with angle. Do I need this just to fit a heated seat element?
Thanks alot:)!!!!

Anyone could help me with the partnumbers?
Are there differences from LHD and RHD vehicles?
And are connectors plug and play or I need anything else?
Thanks so much!!!

Guys,
I was thinking of reusing my heated seat elements from my cloth seats, but I have read that there are different elements from cloth and leather? Is this true?
So I need to buy all the elements? For both front and back seats?
The elements are very pricy, so that would come around $600 total front and back... ouch.
Any advice?
