Not as scary (yet) as some of the EPB posts I have read but here goes.
2008 HSE Disco 3, auto gearbox. EPB releases no issues automatically when I pull away. Put it in drive and manually release the EPB by pushing down the switch up pops the amber light and the "Park Brake Fault" message on the dash appears. Turn off the engine, wait a minute and start up again, fault lights have gone.
Anyone had similar issues or know the treatment. Be gentle.

Strip and clean the rear brakes and make sure the lever and hinge that connects to the epb cable is free to move abd readjust the the shoe to Bodsy's brake bible.
