Whistle on accelerating
I was wondering if anybody else has experience of this. When I accelerate from standstill there is a pronounced whistle most audible with the passenger window down a bit. The noise persists through 1 or 2 lower gears before receding. Seems to do it hot or cold. My first thoughts were turbo trouble but there is no untoward effect on performance, in fact the car goes really well. It's a MY14 with just 17000miles covered. Ideas and comments appreciated.
Have you lifted the bonnet & run the engine; this may help.
It could be exhaust manifold gasket or split intercooler hose; hopefully not crossover pipe.
I presume it's still under warranty, so back to the dealer & line up a loan car?

Thank you for your comments NJSS. THe whistle is there only when the engine is under load, not noticeable when cruising or travelling very fast.

I had a similar thing from passenger side of the engine. Only happened under load. It was fine at idle. Newbury 4x4 fixed it. They originally thought it was exhaust manifold but turned out to be a blown gasket on the ERG valve. So quicker and cheaper fix.

If not the exhaust I would check the butterfly housing chamber where the egr pipes connect as I had a similar problem which Geoff spotted Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!
