Check for ill-fitted towing electrics

I would like to suggest that owners that have towing electrics fitted at a dealer, check to see whether the cabling is correctly routed and attached to the chasis. I have just check mine and found that
1) the two looms (twin electrics) under the rear bumper were not clipped together,
2) the clips were not conected into the holes provided in the chasis member,
3) the loom was not following the correct route and was fouling the "swingy weights", stopping them moving fully
4) over time, I am sure the loom would have been damaged,
5) I must have lost some of the benefit that comes from the "swingy weights". All told, confirms my initial thoughts on the dealer that sold me the car - never been back since.
