Little question about Airbag Side Impact Sensors...
Hello everybody,
i have just installed a 12v compressor inside the rear left wheel cover....unfortunately very close to it there is this sensor:

It is a side impact sensor that need to be secured to the chassis, my question is:
Can i operate the compressor (that produce some vibrations!) while the Disco is ON?!?!?!
I am very scary to "try" ... but my logic tell me that the central control unit of the Airbags will understand that this is not an accident.....
Please, advices needed!!!!
Thanks

The restraints control module which determines which bags get fired will know the difference. Those particular sensors work on an impact pressure pulse. I don't believe that your compressor would simulate the required signal 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

so you think it will understand that a continuos low vibration is different from a huge side impact!?
