Rear Washer problem

I am new to disco3.co.uk, it looks like their is a lot of Discovery 3 knowledge amongst the members here.
I was wondering if anybody could help me with a problem I have, the rear washer comes on for approx. 10 seconds every time the ignition is switched on and the rear wiper does not work at all.
The car is a 2008 Discovery 3 TDV6 XS.
Any ideas or assistance would be most welcome.
