Discovery Commercial SE 16.5MY Extras |
|
Hi All,
I'm looking to order a Discovery Commercial SE (16.5MY) within the next couple of weeks. My current vehicle is a Defender so the world of optional extras is a bit new to me! I'm currently planning on ordering the following extras, just wondering if there is anything else that would be recommended?
- 20" Diamond Turned Style 510 Alloys - £1220
- Metallic Paint - Santorini Black - £600
- Heated Front Seats - £305
- Rear View Camera - £360
Thanks

Somebody said the other week that heated steering wheel wasn't an option on the commercial when I suggested it, which is a shame as it's excellent. Cheers Ian

It looks like Heated Steering Wheel is an option on the configurator - and seems reasonable value at £180

Has anyone got InControl Apps and know what extra functionality it offers over the standard infotainment?

Yes I've got it and to be honest it's a waste of money and I wouldn't bother, I'll see if I can find my thread about it. Cheers Ian

I have InControl and can count on one hand the number of times I've used it.
I cannot seem to find a use for it. I would not recommend it currently

I done without it on my DS, for me there was nothing on it that was of use. Incontrol remote IMO is just gimmick also. I think Apple CarPlay will be better if JLR ever fit it. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Thanks, that's really useful... think I'll give InConntrol Apps a miss as it defiantly doesn't seem worth an extra £350.

20" Alloys are something that I would have gladly lived without on my own D4 - 19's are large enough and much more practical.
One thing that I appreciate everyday is the adaptive Xenons; I would have kicked myself if I'd tried them after it had been too late to add them.
Power fold mirrors are great if you drive a lot of narrow lanes (it's a darn sight wider than the Defender) and they're handy to see if the car's locked.
I've had a heated steering wheel before, on a used LR, but I couldn't get on with it. 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
