99/100 I use the switch not the key to activate the EPB. 5/6 times in town there no issue. Get home reverse up drive, in to neutral, foot on brake, apply EPB using switch (all ok) foot off brake turn off engine remove key and the screeching starts D3 2005 TDV6 7 Seat Zambezi Silver

It's an odd one. Nothing to say it's nota module issue, but everything points towards it being an adjustment issue, or shoes not retracting properly
Next time, pull the switch up, release it, and pull it up again, see if it squeals then
Or, put the car into low box, pull switch on and see what happens My D3 Build Thread

I m thinking the back disc are warped which is why the keep unadjusting themselves.
Will give it a go but scared it jams on and with the snow coming I d rather it was movable.
I ll try it tomorrow and update you. Bizarre it happens when the rear is higher than the front. D3 2005 TDV6 7 Seat Zambezi Silver

I had the same problem regarding as soon as I pulled the key out the ignition I had an almighty screech! Now the car is immovable and stuck on the drive.

When you changed the handbrake shoes did you follow the bedding in procedure as i believe this is very critical in having the module set up correctly. Discovery3 TDV6 GS

NellyD5,
It would depend on whether the indy you use is knowledgeable with the LR brand or not.
Did you use a recognised LR indy or a brake centre? Discovery3 TDV6 GS
