31 months old and 62k miles on the clock - most of them hard motorway miles. That plus a 100 plus Latvian washes has left the old girl looking rather swirled out in the paint department.
Anyway. New front screen. New front and rear discs/pads (Advanced Factors), new black grille and fender covers (Duckworths) and 4 newly refurbished gloss black style 103 alloys (Fleabay bargain).
Let's see how this turns out. Pictures to follow as they come in (Barry emails clients progress reports all through the job).
Fingers crossed."Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"

Amazing results to start with
And so the machine polishing is under way.
And after the first round of treatment.
This was at the end of day one - more to follow when we see what day two brings "Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"

Thank you J77
It's 31 months since new; define old
The so called van is an asset as well as the front end of the business. I have one particular client who has said in the past all my contracts are aimed at you because we know you look after things.
And I always get a good resale value at the next upgrade.
I'm inclined to not bother to show the results on Friday. I just thought it was something mildly interesting. Very discouraging. "Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"

I'm interested and I am sure others are too. Other than Zac's comments on vans I don't see anything negative?

If I had a £ for every time people question whether my D 4 is a van or not I could have it detailed every quarter. Mine is part of my business marketing plan, we work for high end interior designers, Image, presentation and attention to detail are paramount having quality of tools to let us do the job whatever and wherever makes us different to other providers. We have delivered a dining table in Sandbanks where the only access to the property for the table was via beach and can't do that with an xlwb sprinter. Another instance a 30'0" long x 7'0" wide dining table weighing 1.5 tons in the crate moved on trolleys and needed something 4x4 and heavy with low range to act as anchor brake on a 300 yd down hill drive to the house, hmmmm bit a dinging table thing going on!
Yes I love it, yes it's a van, probably the best business tool I have, makes a lasting impression on my customers and their clients. It is much admired and any of my teams are proud to be seen out in it. I suspect Zac my be proud of his D3 but some of us van owners may be more proud.
Look forward to seeing what day 4 brings.Commercial SDV6 8 Speed 255
