How does the RR with 4.4V8 have 305HP and D3 V8 has 300HP?
If they have the same 4.4 V8 engine, how do you get the extra 5HP that the RR has?

5 bhp is nothing and well within the variance you get between engines. As I understand it the engine tunes in this case are near identical, the change in intake plumbing and exhaust path does the rest.
