Another Webasto FBH Question, but hopefully easy and simple

I know there are lots of threads and more re FBH, but a hopefully two simple questions. I have tried to find by searching but cannot find definitive, and I know a few experts on these things here. The best thread I found was http://disco3.co.uk/forum/topic123417.html...+software, but this is D4.

I have a Thermo Top C as a heater on a Narrow boat and have the diagnostic leads for this, which effectively uses pin 2 on the 8 pin x1 plug, a 12v source and ends up as a USB into my laptop

So the questions are

Is the Diagnosis out pin the same number i.e. 2 on the multi-plug X1? this is yellow on a full Webasto Thermo Top C Loom.

The software (V2.15) will from memory, as I haven't needed to check the boat heater for a while, start the heater, but if this best done with the D3 in sleep mode, so Radio/sat nav screen off and handbrake light out?

Thanks for any views and answers, appreciate the help

Cheers

Dave

Searching for it on google and view of pictures indicates that X1 pin 2 is the diagnostic "port" for it.

Have a look at this pdf file for the heater :

Thanks for the info, so all that remains is the testing question, can you start the heater whilst the D3 is in sleep mode, from the software.
Thanks
Dave

As per the title of the link, the thread is for the D3 & D4 as it applies to both.
