Minus 3 in Swedish tcheuchter-land this morning and I was happy to hear that odd popping sound and a plume of smoke undereath the front - toasty!
I spent all last winter resetting the by thing so it was nice to see it has come back to life.

It was a reasonably cool 5°C this morning so decided to fire up my FBH using my remote. I got into the car 30 minutes later expecting a warm heater, but no, the coolant was cold. Looking like I'll be stripping the FBH again this year to see why it's not firing Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

That'll be it for the winter though. She's just teasing you by showing she can when you're not in the mood, when you are in the mood she'll be sulking.
Yep - works at -3, will refuse when it's -15. Guaranteed!

Thanks, that wasn't the best grammar.. I'm looking at buying a disco 3.
Does that heat your coolant at low temperature then? Toasty warm heaters from the offset?

Sure does, brilliant
I start mine on 3rd button on key fob which activates controller bought from Bell Auto Services. Very simple to wire up, 3 wires if I remember correctly and I wouldn't want to be without it. Everything warm from the off so no glow plugs to think about eitherand I understand because everythins is warm that it's good for EGR valves to help reduce condensation and gunk????????? I will try mine when I get back to SA in 3 weeks for the winter - will it work @ 27 degrees? Owning a Discovery 3 is like dating a model.. a firm body and shape, wow.. the ride is fantastic > for this your wallet can take a pounding and you worry about being deflated at any time...

Surprised SA gets them... we don't have them fitted to Australian models due to the warmer climate. Instead we get a beefier air con.2008 RRS TDV6 - Chawton White/Black/Lined Oak - 20's, h/k, sunroof - 350K KM.

Errr... it was a little bit of light banter with DSL.. did not expect FBH to be fitted... although up Sani Pass (highest point to drive in Africa) it does however get down to 11 degrees in the middle of summer at 10400 ft.

Can a FBH be retrofitted?
It would be useful on Oberon. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
