I bought one some time back said it was 20102 and initially worked fine showing latest roads etc, but like most in car sat navs its just to much effort/to fiddly to use it, then every now and then it would show me as 100s of miles away from whereI was.
I went back to old disc and it has been fine last couple of months

My advice if you have a smart phone is to get the tom tom app, free updates for life, works just fine and as you always carry your phone anyway its no hassle unlike a stand alone unit.

The copies do seem to have issues and the genuine Landrover ones are soooo expensive.

I tend to live with the original (2005). On occasions it appears I'm in a field, but it's got me all over GB and Europe without getting lost, YET!!!

My recently acquired 2006 Disco 3 had, unsurprisingly, a 2006 Sat Nav disc. So have got the 'latest' 2015-16 off Fleabay and all seems fine.

Funny think about this Sat Nav though. Bought the car from a garage near Mansfield which is around a 60 mile trip from my home near Leeds. Used the Disco sat nav when I had to take it back last Saturday and it took me through an unbelievable number of back roads (although Bolsover castle was very picturesque lol). Local traffic made the 58 mile journey around 1.5 hours They gave me a Punto as a courtesy car so which doesn't have sat nav so I went on Google maps and scribbled down on a piece of paper my return journey. Four roads - M1 - A57 - A6032 - then turn off for 1.5 mile down a country road. Bobs yer uncle. I'm there. In about an hour.

Searches Disco3.co.uk for aftermarket sat nav fitting Laughing

My built in sat mac suggests all kinds of strange routes. I often put it on for a journey I am fairly familiar with to get the TMC info (and sometimes as a nudge that my junction is coming up on the motorway). However if I'm headed somewhere I don't know I use something else instead - generally google maps
